Bug Reports
Actividad reciente
When logging a new bug report, it's helpful to the Photoshop team when the information in the report includes steps describing how they can reproduce the bug experience. Once we can reproduce an issue, then we can start to investigate a fix. Note: If after a bit of troubleshooting we find that the bug report is in-fact not a product bug, the bug report may be moved out of Bugs and over to Discussions. Use the template below as a guide for posting the most meaningful bug reports for the team. Bug report template: Issue: Photoshop version: OS: Steps to reproduce: ... ... ... Expected result: Actual result: Anatomy of a great bug report: Issue: Provide a succinct one-line issue statement (i.e. Photoshop beta does X when using a tool or plugin) Provide Photoshop version: Help>System Info>Copy the top line with Photoshop version Provide OS and version: macOS 11.4 Issue: Provide good steps

Issue has not been resolved. I just tested the latest beta 207.11 and the problem still persist where the image in PS has much more contrast that the LR original. See sample included: I turned off Usse Graphic Processor and it appears to have fixed the issue. The problem I would have with that is I have an NVIDIA GForce RTX 3090 and I want to use the power of that card for effciency. Now we know the workaround, how do we fix it?
.tif file appears washed out only in Photoshop Beta with GPU enabled. The same file displays correctly in regular Photoshop. Turning off Use Graphics Processor fixes the appearance.
I open an image and it opens very dark and in a few moments it is restored to its expected brightness. and in the process of working the image it may go dark for a few seconds and then return to its expected brightness. I googled this issue and got a known GPU issue recommending to disable GPU - which is not an option for me.
When using Cmd shortcut to auto-select, when group is selected it selects layers, when layers is selected it selects groups

Bug report template:Issue: Photoshop version: 27.10 & 27.11 Beta OS: Windows 11Steps to reproduce:Use a black/white brush or gradient on a mask Expected result: A smooth gradient or brush markActual result: Grey banding occurring, looking like a low colour bit-depth is being used (when the image mode is 16-bit). I tested the same image on multiple versions. I get smooth gradients and brush marks on Release version 27.5 and Beta 27.9, but I see banding when I update to 27.10 and 27.11.I have checked all my gradient and brush settings and made sure they’re identical between all versions of the apps. I have tried playing with brush spacing, smooth and gradient dithering and classic vs smooth method, but that doesn’t make much of a difference.I have also tried toggling Use OpenCL on/off in the graphics preferences but it doesn’t help.I have Use Graphics Processor ticked on, Use OpenCL off, Anti-Alias Guides and Paths on, 30-bit display off and GPU compositing on. My GPU is an RTX 4080.
Masked adjustment layers keep blinking in and out when I am editing the mask of another adjustment layer. Happens with multiple projects that have many adjustment layers. I think this may have happened with the introduction of the new adjustment layers (Light) but am not 100% sure.
When using photoshop Beta, the screen brightness dips and then comes back when selecting different layers etc. Only started with Beta updates (27.11). Seems that 27.9.1 Photoshop works okay.
No matter how I go about trying to auto-select the subject in the image, I get the error message that there is no subject to select, which is wrong. EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Yet it works in the regular photoshop app… Fix this.
the mouse moves across the image with all other tools - but if select the brush tool it moves freely around the menus but freezes at the edge of the art board and will not enter the image space
PS Beta 27.11The brush tip cursor flickers every second all the time.I attached a video of the issue
Photoshop version: 27.9.0 BetaComputer: MacBook Pro M1 ProOperating System: macOS Tahoe 26.5.1aIssue:Smooth gradients and dark vignette backgrounds display with blotchy, cloud-like artifacts when Use Graphics Processoris enabled.Steps to reproduce:Open an image with a smooth dark gradient or vignette. Enable Preferences → Performance → Use Graphics Processor. Observe blotchy artifacts in the gradient. Disable Use Graphics Processor. Reopen the image.Result:The artifacts disappear immediately when GPU acceleration is disabled.Additional information:The same JPEG and TIFF display correctly in Lightroom Classic. GPU Compatibility Check reports the Apple M1 Pro as fully compatible. Changing OpenCL and GPU Compositing individually does not resolve the issue.

I can only get Generate Image to work with the latest Firefly Fill model. Not with any of the partner models (Win 11 desktop and laptop - the former running only the most current Ps production rel. 27.6 and the latter running only the latest Ps beta - not both on the same machine). Also, after trying to use reference image with a partner model it’s impossible to delete or remove the downloaded reference image. The trash can icon in the ref image dialog box doesn’t delete or eliminate the downloaded ref image. I’ve tried with multiple different base and reference images. And, I’ve tried by writing a prompt 1st (then the Generate button grays out) or making the selection and trying to establish object only and place in the selected area then choose the partner model. Neither approach works. It only works with the latest Firefly model - no partner models and I prefer working with Gemini and having the flexibility to use prompts.

When using Generative Upscale in Photoshop, the feature modifies text that is already embedded in the image and distorts line drawings and other precise graphic elements. This is not editable text on a separate text layer. The source is an existing flattened PNG file in which the text and line art are part of the image pixels.During upscaling, Photoshop changes individual letters, makes text unreadable, and redraws some characters incorrectly. Thin lines, outlines, and detailed line-art elements are also distorted or replaced with inaccurate shapes. As a result, the upscaled image is less accurate and often less usable than the original.Steps to reproduce:Open a flattened PNG containing embedded text and line art. Run Generative Upscale. Compare the result with the original image. The text characters and line-art details are altered or distorted.Expected result:The original content, letter shapes, line structure, and graphic elements should remain unchanged. The feature should increase
When selecting the Crop Tool while a selection is active, Photoshop usually sets the crop area to the selected area by default. Now, this no longer works.
Finally fix the bug where, when working with smart layers and going back to the main layer that contains the others, it doesn’t remember the changes made!
The "Export As" window is glitching, which sometimes makes it go behind Photoshop. Additionally, its size does not stay adjusted as usual and it is always smaller. I have to resize it every time I open the program and use the "Export As" function.Another problem is that the file preview is pixelated, which does not happen in the regular version. This started in this last beta update; it didn't have this problem before. Furthermore, the image only looks good if I set the zoom to 100%. However, I cannot see the full image with good quality like before because it goes past the borders. I have to keep moving it to see the corners that do not show up. Image from Photoshop (Beta) version 27.9Previous version 27.8 is perfectly normal and trouble-free.Image from Photoshop version 27.8
Photoshop Beta 27.9.0 (macOS) – PSD becomes unreadable after "Stamp Visible" (⌥⌘⇧E) and SaveEnvironment* Photoshop Beta Version: 27.9.0* Operating System: macOS* File size: approximately 291 MBDescriptionI created and edited a PSD normally in Photoshop Beta. There were no crashes and no Beta update between editing and saving. The final action before saving was creating a merged visible layer using the shortcut ⌥⌘⇧E ("Stamp Visible" / "Merge Visible to New Layer").Immediately afterwards I saved the document using File → Save.Since then the PSD can no longer be opened.Photoshop displays the message:"The document could not be opened because it is not compatible with this version of Photoshop."I am using the same Photoshop Beta version that created the file. I do not have another Photoshop version installed.Another PSD created on the same day opens without any problems.Additional observations:* The PSD file is approximately 291 MB.* The file was saved directly to the local disk (not cloud s
