Click the mouse and the cursor moves off at 45 degrees which makes painting very difficult.

Remembering that this issue ONLY affects photoshop beta not the standard version. When you click the brush tool , remove tool, clone tool (to a point) the cursor goes off at 45 degrees! I have checked on the web about this issue with no answer to this, or more importantly how to correct it. When using the clone tool holding the shift key to set the target clone it works fine on that selection, but again when trying to paint it shoots off 45 degrees. I have un-installed & re-installed, no difference. The mouse is active & working, it’s just when I click to paint etc? Been through the setting on the web to no avail. looked at mouse setting on the pc, but that can’t be the issue as everything else works including standard photoshop and lightroom  I don’t know of anything else to try.
