Cannot complete the Merge visible Command in latest PS Beta 1-8-26

The issue has bee discussed to support that the latest Windows PS Beta is that the top layer will not merge with the next lower layer(s) as the action responds with an error message.

However, the work around has been to go to the layer just below the first, then when CTL-ALT-Shift-E is pressed, the second and the op layer produces the new layer above, just as it did before the Beta update. The latest regular PS does not have this issue.

Just a bug, programmers must correct and update for a new download. Previous Beta did not do this.

It is PS Beta 27.3.0, but I think with the latest update PS Beta 27.4.0 the bug might have been fixed.

We have a fix in the pipeline for this issue. Not sure which beta release will include it, but it should be soon.

I also have the same problem with the latest version of Photoshop beta 27.3. The latest regular PS does not have this issue.

I have the same problem (and also  with the normal Photoshop). I uninstalled the latest update and reinstalled an older version.

The latest PS Beta 27.3.0 reports a screenshot error when merging visible layers to a new one above the stack. The previous Beta version worked fine, creating a new layer when visible layers were merged using Ctrl-Alt-Shift-E. The standard PS version 27.2 works perfectly.

...the latest Windows PS Beta...

Instead of "latest", could you please tell us the exact version of Photoshop Beta?
