Generative AI model picker is blank in the Contextual Task Bar (v27.6). When clicking to 'Choose a model,' the selection window opens but remains empty with no available models (Firefly/Gemini/Partner models) appearing in the list.

Since updating to Photoshop Beta 27.6, the model selection interface in the Contextual Task Bar has become non-functional. While the 'Choose a model' dialog box triggers and opens correctly, the selection pane remains entirely blank, failing to load or display any available AI models (Firefly, Gemini, or Partner models).

This is a persistent regression; the feature was fully functional in previous beta version, current version : Adobe Photoshop Version: 27.7.0 20260415.m.3506 55a492a  x64 (beta, PublicBeta)

I installed the official release of 27.6.0 but the problem is still there. When I view the list of models through the contextual menu only one shows up. When I go to Edit > Generative Fill I do get to see the other models.

My bad: I used ‘generate image’ instead of ‘generative fill’ in the contextual menu. Cause I selected the entire canvas. When I select part of the image and choose ‘generative fill’ I get those models again.

21Apr26, Ps beta 27.7.0—updated this morning and the problems still exist when using the contextual menu bar. Firefly Image 3 shows but the other partner models do not. All the partner models show when using Edit > Generative Fill. I’ve attached two screen shots.

Hi all, the teams are aware of this and the workaround is to roll back to 27.6. There will be a new build on Monday which has the fix in so please update Monday and let us know if things are back.

    Thanks,

I’m having the same problem here following yesterday’s beta update. The issue is exactly the same on both macOS and Windows. Everything works normally in the main version.
