    Hi,

    I wasn’t able to reproduce this on macOS Ps Beta 28.0.1.

    But it might be I am doing it a little different than you or there is something particular about your Smart-Object or the main PSD/PSB file that may be making the Multithreaded PS do something bad.

    If you could share your images and exact steps, that would help track this down.

    Hi @Stefan30772811y7k2  while the team looks into this, a workaround is to turn OFF the MT PSD Writer in preferences.

    Try that and let us know if that solves the crashes.

    Thanks,

    Thanks so much! That was the point! But in the regular Photoshop Version, this setting couses no problems.

    @Stefan30772811y7k2,

    Glad to hear turning off the option helped.

    The Beta contains a new PSD/PSB writer that can speed up saving a certain set of PSD/PSB images.  The toggle @CShubert shared turns that new code off and so uses the classic writer.

    So far I haven’t been able to reproduce the crash you mentioned.

    To dig into this more it would be helpful to know your exact steps and ideally share the images that are crashing on you.
