In the save for web dialog, saving a JPG, adjusting the quality slider does not update the file size calculation bottom right

Save for Web -- Slider Not Updating File Size in Real Time

Thanks for the report. Here's what we know:

In a recent version of Save for Web, adjusting sliders (quality, blur, image size) wasn't recalculating the estimated file size while dragging -- the update only happened after releasing the slider. This was fixed in 27.3 and the fix shipped to Beta, but it's possible you're on an older build, or the behavior has come back in a more recent update.

Workarounds while we look into this:

• Click somewhere else in the dialog after adjusting a slider to trigger the recalculation
• Type the quality value directly into the field instead of dragging
• Update to the latest Beta build if you haven't already

Next steps: Please check your build number under Help > About Photoshop and let us know what version you're on. If you're already on the latest 27.7 build and still seeing this, that's helpful to know -- reply here with your build number and we'll take a closer look.

Resetting prefs did not fix. So I uninstalled (chose remove settings) and reinstalled. Same problem.

If you still have this issue…

1. Try resetting Prefs for the Beta:
/Users/yourname/Library/Preferences/ Photoshop Beta Settings (Mac Ventura)
/Users/yourname/Library/Preferences/Adobe\ Photoshop\ \(Beta\)\ Settings (Mac)

Launch BETA Photoshop While Pressing The Keyboard Shortcut
With Photoshop closed, press and hold Shift+Ctrl+Alt (Win) / Shift+Command+Option (Mac) on your keyboard and then Launch Photoshop the way you normally would.

2. It may help if we could see your Photoshop beta System Info. Launch Photoshop beta, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.
