P: Gen Expand Seam/Banding Issue / Keine nahtlosen Übergänge mehr

Seit dem letzten Update sind die Ergebnisse der generativen Erweiterung extrem schlecht. Das ursprüngliche Bild ist deutlich zu erkennen, Muster werden nicht nahtlos fortgesetzt etc. So sind die Ergebnisse leider nicht zu gebrauchen.

    Since Update 25.0 generated image Parts do not blend the edges like before, theres always a cut. Generative Fill is basically unusuable in this state. I also experienced that the results were far less real and convincing since the latest updates. Please fix this asap Adobe.

      Hi PS team,

      last update of PS Beta 25.1.0 20230826.m.2304 824db35 arm64 and even the version before

      are producing when using generative fill oversaturated results with sharp edges on selection as you can see in attached image. Everything is ok when you are working in srgb color space...when im working with adobergb images or with images with other color space like srgb results are unusable.

      Macos Ventura 13.5.1

      Apple M2 Max 32 gb ram

        @Caity.psd Strange, I installed the update to 25.1 today and I don't see any issues. I'm on Windows 10 (22H2) with a GTX 1050Ti with the latest Studio driver.

         

        My System: Intel i7-8700K - 64GB RAM - NVidia Geforce RTX 3060 - Windows 11 Pro 25H2 -- LR-Classic 15 - Photoshop 27 - Nik Collection 8 - PureRAW 5 - Topaz Photo

          Hello 🙂 

          I've benn using PS beta for almost three months but a problem appeared today. When I use the generative fill expanding an image, there are borders that are perfectly seen. It's not only about my photos, I also tried it on images from the internet.

              Hi there ! 

               

              Since Beta V25 (and now 25.1), I still got the same bugs when expending backgrounds colors.
              On variants part, it appears great but when option choosen, it appears in PS like on this image.

               

               

              Impossible now for me to use the generating option as it gets errors 90% of the time on this case. 

              I have tried reinstalling older version of PS Beta, but it has been blocked now by devs...

              Could you please help or share your experience?

                Thank you for the update, do you have a time frame to when this could be fixed by or if it will get fixed to become seamless again?

                    Hi Caity,

                     

                    Thank you for the update. I've tried it before and after your suggestion I tried again to "GenFill" the seam away.

                    Sadly, this doesn't work for me.

                    It always recreates the seam, no matter how I change the selection.

                    Otherwise GenFill works well, just doesn't help solve the Problem.

                      Hello - the fix did not land in the latest update but we are getting close. For now I would suggest using GenFill instead of expand OR utilize GenFill to repair the seam: using the rectangle marquee too, make a selection around the seam, no prompt needed, and genfill it away.
