P: Lightroom Classic>Edit in PS: Long Delay+Erroneous Error Message opening Ps Beta 2024 25.0

I just recently updated Photoshop Beta to 2024 v25.0 on my Windows 11 machine.

Now when I try to open photos from LR 12.4 using the "edit in...", it hangs up for a time and then comes up saying "The file could not be edited because Adobe Photoshop 2024 could not be launched."

When I hit "Ok" it then opens the file in Photoshop 2024.

This happens with every file, even if Photoshop 2024 is already up and running at the time.

This does not happen with 2023 v24.7.

I can confirm this issue with both Photoshop 2023 and Photoshop Beta. Both with the latestest updates. The issue is not there if you roll back to the last revision. Hopefull Adobe Devs will fix this in the next update. It is nice to work seemlessly between Lightroom Classic and Photoshop.

Boa tarde pessoal.

Hi,

I am having problems getting photos from Lightroom Classic over to Photoshop.  Currently using Lightroom Classic 12.4, Camer Raw 15.4 & Photoshop 24.7.0

Specifically once I have made the edits to my RAW file in Lightroom (file type CR3) and right click 'Edit in Photoshop 2023...' either nothing happens or after a few minutes I get a Lightroom error popup window saying "An internal error has occured.  AgStoreProviderSession:getEntityByID: id must be a number or string"

I've been using Lightroom > Photoshop > Lightroom workflow quite happily for years but for some reason a few days ago it's stopped working.

By the way I have also been using Photoshop Beta recently incase this has a bearing on things?  I've tried changing in Lightroom preferences to open edit in either Photoshop 2023 or Photoshop Beta but neither works.

Any advice would be grately appreciated!

Dan

If you have installed Photoshop Beta 25.0 it's a known issue.

You  can rollback to Beta version 24.7

I've heard about this issue also about systems there's no Beta installed.

In this case try this: Use the Adobe Creative Cloud Application to uninstall Photoshop. When asked, keep preferences! After this reinstall Photoshop again.

If this doesn't help the nest step is to reinstall both apps Lightroom and Photoshop. Please follow the steps below:

1. Open the Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop Client and uninstall both Photoshop and Lightroom Classic. When asked, keep preferences!

2. Install Photoshop first and then Lightroom Classic. The right order is very important here!

If this also doesn't help try to rollback to Photoshop 24.6

My System: Intel i7-8700K - 64GB RAM - NVidia Geforce RTX 3060 - Windows 11 Pro 25H2 -- LR-Classic 15 - Photoshop 27 - Nik Collection 8 - PureRAW 6 - Topaz Photo AI

Hallo zusammen

Mac Ventura 13.2

Lightroom Version 12.4

Photoshop Version 24.7.0

Besten Dank für eine Hilfe

When I try to open and LRC file using "Edit In Photoshop 2024", LRC opens Photoshop Beta but it takes almost 30 seconds for the error message to appear.  Clicking OK on the error message opens the file in PS beta.  What is Photoshop 2024 and why doesn't Creative Cloud desktop know anything about it?

ADOBE - thank you for an amazing product that rarely has any issues.

This bug must be stumping you - Adobe, seeing that it has not been fixed.

So, yes, please let us all know when it is safe to update PS Beta - there are some new features in Beta that I'd like to try.

Hola, hay una solución sencilla (al menos lo ha sido para mí), tienes que
volver a PS 24.6 y Beta 24.7, es un bug de Photoshop que están intentando
arreglar

Hi

This issue also was driving me crazy, but after following CoryShubert's advice and going back to PS 24.6 and Beta 24.7 everything is going fine again.

Many thanks. I'm following this thread to update both PS and Beta once the issue is fixed.

Regards from (a very hot) Spain.
