P: Lightroom Classic>Edit in PS: Long Delay+Erroneous Error Message opening Ps Beta 2024 25.0

I just recently updated Photoshop Beta to 2024 v25.0 on my Windows 11 machine.

 

Now when I try to open photos from LR 12.4 using the "edit in...", it hangs up for a time and then comes up saying "The file could not be edited because Adobe Photoshop 2024 could not be launched."

 

When I hit "Ok" it then opens the file in Photoshop 2024. 

 

This happens with every file, even if Photoshop 2024 is already up and running at the time. 

 

This does not happen with 2023 v24.7.

    Since the last update from Adobe, I have the following problem on all my computers: If I send an image file from Lightroom to Photoshop to edit it there, Photoshop starts but the file does not open. I have tried everything but have not found a solution.
    Here are my programmes: MacOS Ventura 13.4.1 / Lightroom Classic 12.4 / Photoshop 24.7.0.
    I am grateful for any suggestion for a solution

      Seit der letzten Updates von Adobe habe ich auf all meinen Rechnern folgendes Problem: Schicke ich eine Bilddatei aus Lightroom zu Photoshop, um sie dort zu bearbeiten, öffnet sich Photoshop zwar, aber die Datei wird nicht geöffnet. Habe alles versucht, aber keine Lösung gefunden.

      Hier meine Programme: MacOS Ventura 13.4.1 / Lightroom Classic 12.4 / Photoshop 24.7.0

      Bin für jeden Lösungvorschlag dankbar

        I just updated to

        Adobe Photoshop Version: 25.0.0 20230801.m.2265 3a00623 x64

        today and PS2024 is now opening properly from Lightroom for me.

          When executing cmd+3, or open-in, it lauches Photoshop but does not transer or open the files. I now have to go to find in finder and drag them into PS to edit, then save them in the orginal folder, I, then have to syncronize that folder with LrC. It's a cumbersom workflow. Any ideas?

            Same identicle issue here. Bad part is it was working ok after the initial install of PS (Beta) but has now stopped. I can't find an answer anywhere.

              Same problem here on Mac. The update to day did not solve the problem. An already worked on photo and saved as PSD in Lightroom only opens in Photoshop when you choose "Edit original". Not when you choose Edit a copy... or a raw file.

                I did it several times, I've closed PS et re-opened it, I've  rebooted the system. Always the same. No Pop-up windows with error message ; only the PS screen witout the picture I want to modify. Surely a bug with the new PS version

                  depuis quelques temps la bascule entre LR et Photoshop se passe mal, que ce soit vers la BETA ou la "normale"... alors qu'avant ça fonctionnait à merveille. Je suis sur MAC INTEL.

                  j'ai plus ou moins pallié au soucis en mettant sur PSD au lieu de TIFF... mais ça buggue juste moins... mais un peu qd même... ce soucis est il connu? Merci

                    Since the last update this problem has appeared to me interfering with the workflow. Any predictions for solving the problem?

                      I have experienced the same problem working with Windows. My photos and catalog are both stored locally on differed SSDs. I get pop-up messages that PS can't open and then that LR can't prepare the file. But after doing this several times they do finally open. Files open just fine in On1 and other external editors.

                        Since updating PhotoShop version 24.7.0 and Lightroom Classic 12.4, I can no longer edit a photo using the Photoshop external editor from Lightroom. Photoshop opens but the photo does not appear. However it worked fine before and it still works with other external editors. My photos are on a cloud and my lightroom catalog on my local drive. I'm using a mac mini with M2 processor.
