It may help if we could see your Photoshop beta System Info. Launch Photoshop beta, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.

I'm having the exact same issue. Tried every step you suggested but still black/blank image being generated. Any help would be great thanks.

yes I did a lot of tests on different images and different situations
