P: On the VIEW drop down menu "Extras Ctrl + H" is stuck active

I reinstalled on a different device and same thing. On the VIEW drop down
menu EXTRAS is activated very frequently on its own.

NO AppData folder

In reply to view/show/layer edges, nothing is turned on, what happens is
extras keeps turning on by itself. I turn it off an the next time
I select a layer it turns it self back on.
Im not a beginner, been using PS for 20 plus years
