P: parametric filter not working

Parametric filters do not work at all. I already cheked with community reports so mi file is 8 bit, rgb, reinstalled the Photoshop Beta, ran Adobe CC Cleaner, etc. Pressing any filter just duplicates my layer

Hi Im having the same error like everyone else, im running on Mac in the lates version of photoshop beta today May 2025is there any walkaround or any solution to this @CShubert ?

I can successfully apply the embroidery filter to my artwork, but nothing I change in the Parametric Properties panel will ever update again. Furthermore, if I select a different layer (which clears the Parametric Properties panel), reselecting the layer will not allow me to see the properties panel again. It's as if it doesn't see it at all.

I have tried to work from a smart object, from a rasterized object, etc. The only thing that seems to reapply the filter as if something changed is if I resize the artwork. That said, it still just applies the same parameters it defaulted to when I applied it.

Same effect on Win 10 laptop and M1 Mac Mini.

Once I apply a parametric filter in ps BETA v.26.8 it won't apply the settings i change, so all i have is a the filter preset to work on. This is no the only bug I experienced with this version of ps beta, and after the fact that the software does not let me save the document after I apply my camera raw filters, my experience with ps these recent days has been frustrating.

After today's auto-update to Photoshop Beta 26.8, the Embroidery parametric filter is no longer working properly:

Style options and controls are missing

Output looks incorrect

Previously saved settings don't load as before

This update broke my workflow. I urgently need to roll back to the previous Beta version where everything worked.

Please provide a way to downgrade or fix this issue.

The emroidery filter is not showing proper results.

After upgrading Photoshop (Beta) to v 26.8 today, the "Parametric Properties" panel for parametric filters stopped working.  (It was working fine just a few days ago.)

When adding a new parametric filter, the Parametric Properties panel populates with options, but changing their values has no effect on the image.  Additionally, after deselecting the layer and reselecting it, the Parametric Properties panel will not show options anymore.  It just says "Select a layer that contains a Parametric Filter to view and edit its properties", even though the layer containing a parametric filter is clearly selected in the Layers panel.

Additionally, right-clicking on the layer and selecting "Edit smart filter..." has no effect.

This issue appears to affect all parametric filters (I've tried both Embroidery and Halftone).  I'm testing with a simple 8-bit JPEG image.  I was hoping to use the Embroidery filter for a project due in two days, so upgrading the beta version has been a major setback.
