Hello everybody

So, the latest Photoshop Beta 25.9 m.2603 update which introduced the Generate Image and Reference Image features is not working for me. I'm on Windows 10 and a high-end PC by the way.

Whenever I use the Generate Image feature, I get a black layer as a result.

No matter what options I choose or what the prompt is.

Even if I choose no options at all.

It simply doesn't work. I just get 3 black options to choose from (see attached screenshot).

Needs to be fixed asap.

Thank you.

Regarding your other question:
Generative Fill in the official release version does work. But erratically.

Sometimes it just crashes Photoshop altogether, and Photoshop shuts down when the progress bar is reaching the end.

Most of the times, I can generate an image in the release version and keep generating variations until all of a sudden it crashes and closes. Seemingly very at random.

But this happenes with Photoshop Beta as well, and not just this latest version. It's been happening since the introduction of these AI features. I never reported it because I could live with that problem. I would simply launch Photoshop again and generate the image/variation again. But the Black Images problem is too much.

And before you suggest to reset Photoshop settings or any of the those workarounds, please let me assure you I've done my research, I've googled a lot and I've tried everything (resetting preferences, caché, updating my graphics card drivers, etc).

This is without a doubt a problem in the coding in Photoshop.

Thank you.

Hi @Fede_OK do you have the same issue with Ps release version: Adobe Photoshop Version: 25.7.0 20240415.r.504 130b225 arm64?

We understand that Generate Image is NOT available in the release version, we are making sure that your GenAI prompts or use do return results and that this is ONLY happening in Ps beta for you.

It may help if we could see your Photoshop System Info. Launch Photoshop, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.

Thanks,

So... nothing?

I've just updated the Beta to 25.9 m.2611 and the problem persists...
