P: The toolbar isn't displaying the other options properly

Photoshop (Beta) v 28.0

Since the update none of the submenus for the tools display properly and if you mouse over them they scroll directly between the top and bottom options, which you can select, but nothing in-between.
I reverted back to v 27.12 and everything worked fine again. So I updated to v 28.0 once more only for the same issue to occur.

I found a strange bug with the new UI. When I use photoshop beta (28.0.1) only on my PC laptop screen everything works fine. As soon as I tranfer the window to one of my attached monitors the Tool Options Panels are distorted and can not be used. See attached image.

All of them look like this!

Hi all, a couple things the team would like to know as we figure out this issue that seems to be with multiple monitors:

Does this only occur when the scale of extended monitor and the main monitor are different. If the scale of all the displays are same then moving PS app from one screen to another should not cause the issue.
This should not happen on a fresh launch done on the main display and if PS is kept on the main display.
This will happen when the scale of the displays are different and we move PS from one display to another.

Please let us know if these fit your use case and if you can move past this with the suggestions above.

Hi, Having just updated to v28 again, it turns out if I have it on the 15” 4k display of my laptop, the flyouts are all there. If I move it back to either the 27” or 32” 1080p displays that I have always used Photoshop (and Beta) on, they disappear.
This has not happened on any other version. I want to use it on a larger display, and if I downgrade to 27.12 I can.

Hi @Claire H. Thanks, I tried resetting all the tools but it’s not the tool that has the issue, it’s the rollover display.

@CShubert I opened Photoshop Beta as requested and it asked if I wanted to reset everything, which I did. Unfortunately this didn’t fix it. Here is the system info

Hi @Chris @ Chic thank you for the post. To make sure we are starting on the same page, could you follow these steps to make sure there are not issues with the latest Ps Beta?

1. Try resetting Prefs for the Beta:
/Users/yourname/Library/Preferences/ Photoshop Beta Settings (Mac Ventura)
/Users/yourname/Library/Preferences/Adobe\ Photoshop\ \(Beta\)\ Settings (Mac) 

C:\Users\user name\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop (Beta)\Adobe Photoshop (Beta) Settings

Launch BETA Photoshop While Pressing The Keyboard Shortcut
With Photoshop closed, press and hold Shift+Ctrl+Alt (Win) / Shift+Command+Option (Mac) on your keyboard and then Launch Photoshop the way you normally would.

2. It may help if we could see your Photoshop beta System Info. Launch Photoshop beta, and select Help >System Info...and copy/paste the text in a reply.
