Hello, starting with Photoshop beta version 27.5, the object selection function stopped working. I tried all the advice on this forum on this topic, nothing helped.

    Hi all.

AI Model Errors on Windows -- Non-ASCII Username

If you're on Windows and seeing errors related to AI features (such as Remove Tool or Generate Image) in recent builds, your Windows username may be the cause. Usernames that contain non-ASCII characters (such as ü, é, or ñ) are currently causing issues with how Photoshop locates certain model files. This is a known bug and a fix is in progress.

Workarounds while the fix is in development:

    • Create a new Windows user account with an ASCII-only username (letters, numbers, no accented characters) and run Photoshop from that account
    • Try clearing the Creative Cloud Libraries cache folder and relaunching

A note on other possible causes: In some cases, similar errors can come from a corrupted installation or missing model files. If the workarounds above don't help, a clean reinstall via Creative Cloud is worth trying.

We'll update this thread when a fix ships. In the meantime, let us know if you're seeing this and whether the workaround resolves it for you.

    Thanks,
