the last few versions of the beta app has an issue where the image in the workspace goes dark and then pops back to its proper light - no apparent pattern but it happens with all my images.

I open an image and it opens very dark and in a few moments it is restored to its expected brightness. and in the process of working the image it may go dark for a few seconds and then return to its expected brightness. I googled this issue and got a known GPU issue recommending to disable GPU - which is not an option for me.
