Windows 11 and Photoshop 27.3.0 When i select the type tool the font name shown is Arial Regular but in fact it is Arial Italic. I cannot get Arial Regular

On startup the default font shown is Arial Regular, but the actual type generated when I start typing is Arial Italic.  If I select the font to be Arial Italic then I get another incremental lean to the angle of the type.  I cannot get Arial Regular font at all.
