Stroke path not working 2024

Photoshop 26.0.0

Mac 15.0.1

Create a path.  In paths panel, choose stroke path.  Select the spot healing tool.  Click ok.   Error message comes up "This smart object must be rasterized before proceeding.  Edit Contents will no longer be available. Rasterize the smart object?".   Nothing expected happens.

Also, while doing this the eye-dropper is selected.   Go figure.

Opened new blank layer

Created a path

Stroked with brush (worked)

Stroked with Spot Healing Brush (Failed

It was not smart layer.   A simple layer.   I've been doing this for years successfully and this behavior I've only seen with this release.

Can you post a screenshot including the open document and Layers panel?

 

 

Try making a new blank layer and then try to stroke the path.
