Dragging scrubber stops at every segment boundary

Using the current Beta version in multi-camera mode, as I drag the scrubber across the timeline the scrubber stops at each segment boundary. I have to re-grab the scrubber and pull it into the next segment. Also when I start up the Beta version, there is a message saying that there is an update available. When I attempt to update the message is that the update is not yet available.
