3rd party effects cause Program monitor to black out [FIXED]

[EDIT] The issue appears to have been fixed in version 25.1.0.056, but I can only confirm that RG Universe and FilmConvert Nitrate are now working - I don't have Dehancer Pro or CineMatch.

Cheers.

Title says it all.

In version 25.1.0.05 when I add a Red Giant Universe or FilmConvert Nitrate effect, the Program Monitor panel blacks out.

If I toggle the effect off in the Effect Controls panel or click the Global FX Mute button in the Program Monitor panel, vision is restored.

Resetting the preferences, plugin cache and removing the media cache while launching Premiere did not fix the problem.

I now have to open my beta projects in the "stable" release and endure the "Some color management features not supported" dialog every time I open them, even after I save them in the older version.

    Thanks @Srfaye327

So the confirmed list so far is:

    RG Universe (64 plugins)

    Dehancer Pro

    FilmConvert Nitrate

    FilmConvert CineMatch

By screen, I mean program monitor of course.

Same thing is happening for me with CineMatch. Screen goes black as soon as I apply the effect. All of my existing instances of CineMatch are all black as well.

I'm experiencing the same issues. Red Giant Universe 25.0.0 transitions and effects result in a black screen. However, both transitions and effects appear to work just fine in After Effects Beta.

I get GPU Render Error 1609629684 when attempting to render.

Thanks @Kirsi21888295ykon for adding Dehancer Pro to the list.

So far we have RG Universe, FilmConvert Nitrate and Dehancer Pro confirmed as affected by changes Adobe made to the Beta since build 25.1.0.50.

Please, everyone that reads this, keep adding your affected third party plugins so that Adobe might take notice of the issue and take it seriously, because if they add the offending changes to a future "stable release, then we're screwed!

    Cheers.

This also happens with Dehancer Pro and Filmconvert Nitrate. I'm using Macbook Pro/MacOS 15.

I'm not going to engage with Maxon directly about this.

According to their system requirements, their universe plugins are compatible with CC2024 and CC2025.

I doubt any plugins would support a host app that's in beta.

All I know is Universe worked in all the v25 builds up to v25.1.0.50, so they broke something in the latest build.

I also know that another 3rd party plugin unrelated to Maxon has the same problem so Adobe's host app is the common denominator.

Unfortunately, I don't have any other 3rd party plugins to test, but I would like to know if others are experiencing similar problems.

    Cheers.

    Hello, @the outward spiral,

Thanks for the report. What does Maxon Support say about your plugins? Are they supported in Premiere Pro Beta 25.1? Let the community know what they say.

    Thanks,
    Kevin
