Audio re-rendering every time I start playback (enhanced speech related)

I am using the new enhanced speech options but everytime I pause playback and restart (even when no changes are made) audio has to render. Often the progress bar goes beyond 100% and often it is rendering clips that I am not trying to preview.

The audio render engine surrounding enhanced speech feels very broken. Enhanced speech works, but it makes the whole project pretty horrible to work on.

Still not fixed in March 2025. Why would they not cache a processing intensive transformation like this? Literally if you close and re-open your project you have to wait hours for enhance speech to do it's thing from scratch, and then again every edit you make. Good thing we pay monthly now so we can get things like this fixed "right away".

With all do respect: That is a workaround and no solution. A solution would be fixing the Enhance feature. But that the modern world. When the community finds a workaround everything works as designed.

The Solution Is Change The Audio clip to Nest.. And For Audio Waves, Right click  on nest clip And search for Render And Replace And Click it And THis Is The Solution.!     Sing. Hardik Gaming HD

The woraround mentioned wie "Render Wave" after Enhanced is anoying to say the least but necessary. In my Case I use render and replace because then I get a .wav

Normally I could work with the workflow:

Make all cuts and then enhanced at last Step of the Workflow but but when the project is saved under a new name (example: Ne Version Number) the Process Starts again for all EnhanceClips.

I did this and it works generally, except for one extra REALLY annoying glitch. When I turn Enhance Speech back on at the end of an edit to render, the feature is slightly moving or changing some (but not all!) of the audio clips on the timeline. I can literally toggle the on/off button and see the waveform changing. Suddenly I now have a random one second of audio at the start or end of the clip that simply weren't there before. I have no idea why!  This is making the whole feature pretty much useless.

Same issue, in regular Premiere as well. Causes crashes as well. Enhanced Speech, more like Enhanced problems.

@21590012  said it earlier but what i've found the most time effective is exporting the enhanced audio as wav then importing it replacing the original audio, that way it's already rendered to edit. A little extra step but it saves all that rendering time.

I have this issue and this is what I am doing now - I wait until the end to fix the speech and then if it is a long project, I just do a sample to get the specs right, then I render the file and then I freeze the track, so when I return, it doesnt' start up again.

Select your whole project, go to essential sound, in the Dialogue section click enhance speech checkbox so its off. Edit your project, then at the very end go back and select all again and turn it back on. Saves it rendering each time you make a change.
