Auto Transcribe not working again - Premiere Pro Beta 26.1.1

I am on Premiere Pro Beta 26.1.1 Build 22. Previously I had the same issue with the auto transcribe function. It just wasn't picking up anything from the tracks.

I then uninstalled that version reinstalled the previous version and it worked. I then updated to this version again(26.1.1) and the same thing is happening again.

Can this be resolved by myself or is it a bug? Either way it would be great to know soon.

Thanks for your help.

    Hi Stan,

    Once again thanks. This is great info. I am on build 26. My OS is Mac(Tahoe 26.2). An update did appear today and I activated it. Then when I went to check it again the build and version hadn't changed. It's still crashing(another issue I am having). Another quirk of beta.

    I will apply this method of creating new similar files as well. It sounds like the safer option. Especially when I am relying on these new functions(masking, enhance speech & auto transcribe) as they could be glitchy and unreliable for ongoing projects.

    I did go through that methoed of clearing cache etc on start up with Adobe when they remoteley tried to fix the issues.

    @DAG82,

    I updated to Build 26 and now 28, and basic transcription is working okay. I turned on automatic transcription for clips added to sequences, and that worked.

    I am Win 11; what OS for you?

    When I update, I use Shft to reset preferences, cache, and plugin cache, and I create a new project. I set my media analysis to the file locations, and delete the .prmi files before importing the clips.

    There was a bug for a while in duplicated SEQUENCES that got transcriptions out of sync/lacked independence. I think it is fixed, but I would just pay attention to whether your duplication and/or media analysis can complicate workflow.

    I'd suggest clearing the cache and creating a new project for testing. I create a copy of a source file on disk before importing if I don't want to interfere with cache/.prmi files being used by an existing project.

    I have not tested enhanced speech enough, but recall some users wondering if it was creating issues with transcription.

    There are a variety of factors when transcription is not seeing tracks.

    Thanks for the quick reply. It seems to be project specific. I have been duplicating files that all require the same graphics etc. some of the dialogue is transcribed and some isn't. The right click method for the files that the auto transcribe function is not working, doesn't work either.

    Now Premiere Pro Beta Enhance Speech function isn't working either(I have started another thread for this).

    @DAG82,

    Is it only "auto" transcribe that is not working? Or does right-click a clip in the project panel and pick "transcribe" (or re-transcribe) also not work?

    Bugs come and go in the Beta, and it can make troubleshooting hard. I am still on Beta 26.1.1.04 and manual transcribe is fine. I see a lot of users complaining about what I assume is build 26, so I am not updating yet.
