Automatic Backups Are No Longer Being Recorded

As of the last update or maybe two, my projects are not backing up. I lost a project completely today and the system is still not saving after I confirmed the auto save settings were correct. There isn't even a folder created for them when I started a completely new project.

So this is what I did (I have a lot going on so a little different than what you asked for). I took a project I recently created. I moved the scratch disks to the project folder, and also moved the auto save folder to the same directory. The Auto Save is now saving within the Scratch Disk folder rather than the directory above it as I directed it to do in settings. SO it is autosaving but not where I am pointing it.

Hi @tachl28856647 ,Thanks for providing the details, this is definitely helpful. I need few more inputs from you.

    • Set the Auto Save location in Scratch Disks (Project Settings) to a local folder.
    • Enable “Auto Save also saves the current project” in Premiere (Beta) > Settings > Auto Save. Set the Auto Save interval to 1 minute?
    • Create a new project locally on disk.

Let me know if this saves auto saved projects, so we can isolate the next steps.

Hi, Vikas. Further info from my end. I was pointing the back up file to my external drive where I house my projects. I moved that folder to the primary hd of the computer. This time it made a folder, but is still not populating any backups.

@tachl28856647 Thanks for providing the details and apologies for delay in responding to your issue. I am not able to repro the issue at my end, so I need some more information from your side.

    1. Premiere beta version - You can gett it from menu : Premiere (Beta) > About Premiere . In the dialog you will see something like version 26.1.1 (Build 31)

    2. Your Imac and OS details - You can get it from Apple menu > About this mac. I need the Mac OS and Chip name.

Hi @tachl28856647 , can you let me know if you are seeing this on mac or windows?

I have posted this before but there is no traction of the post. Projects are not saving any backups. Previous versions of the beta worked fine - but now they do not even create a folder. I have reset preferences and confirmed back up locations and toggle of the backup button. I need the back ups because it seems that some normal saves aren't functioning either, but I don't have any details to share of that issue yet. Thanks.
