Beta build 44 slow in timeline, moving edges of clips

Having updated from b32 to b44, which does fix the multicam issue, things are much slower for me in the timeline doing things like moving the edges of clips or audio. It's like it's taking a moment to think about it before committing, where it wasn't before.
