Bug Report: Duplicate Audio Playback with Enhance Speech in Premiere Pro Beta v24.1.0.53

I have encountered a bug related to the Enhance Speech feature in Premiere Pro Beta v24.1.0.53.

Enhance Speech is a fantastic feature and has significantly improved my editing efficiency. However, after updating to Premiere Pro Beta v24.1.0.53 today, I encountered a bug where the audio is being played back twice. Specifically, the sections of audio that have been cut in text-based editing are being played back in duplicate. This issue was not present in previous versions.

I suspect that the issue lies with version v24.1.0.53. Alternatively, is there a way to re-render Enhance Speech? The overlapping audio is making editing difficult.

    Hey everyone just experienced this myself, and while this isn't an in-program fix, I did find a way around it that stinks to do, but it works.  Enhance Speech is still available on podcast.adobe.com as a web-based feature.  I uploaded my audio clip there and used Enhance Speech with it's tools to tweak it to my liking and a) it sounded better than anything the in-software version could do, b) transcribing in Premiere picked up on more filler words and pauses than the source file, and c) it did NOT duplicate the audio since we did not use the in-software enhance speech.  Obviously this does not fix the issue in Premiere, but if you run into this issue this is a workaround so you can get your project on the right track again.

        I am having the same or similar issue in January 2025. Is this issue really still a bug that hasn't been fixed? I have never encountered this before. I've always loved Enhance. But as of a new update Enhance and/or text editing of the timeline is repeating a certain word over and over at the beginning of an edit. It is also fading the audio in at places along the timeline. It really makes the quality of the video bad.

          I'm also having this issue. It's really frustrating because it seems like i'll have to recut diaologue from scratch. If I turn off the sound enhance the issues goes away but the overalpping dialogue returns when I re-tag it.

            Update: That did not work. I am unable to use enhanced speech on any version that is available on. This is very disappointing because I edited most of my videos using it and now there will be some inconsistencies with these final videos I need to edit.

            I was having this issue on version 24.4.1. I just reverted back to 24.3 and this problem has stopped so far.
