BUG : Standard Video And Audio Track Height Increased From Stable Release

when dragging a new clip up onto the invisable space above the tracks on the timeline. premiere creates a new track. on this new track usually theres default height its set to. in the stable release this is okay and normal. but in the beta i have noticed that the track height when making a new track is 2 steps up bigger. than in the stable release.

if anyone can get round to a fix on this that would be amazing! as my tracks are now always too chunky! haha

@Devon Jones as much as that comment is quite targetted and direct. and i dont want to publically attack adobe. this feature is a strange addition and i do have to agree.
mainly due to 1 factor. the bigger the tracks. the worse it is trying to see all your tracks at once

@Adolfo H. just tried out this option. its ticked on. and it still produces the same issue? im also on windows so the option shift thing kinda confused me haha! sorry! if theres any more support you can give on this that would be amazing!

but just to reitterate. clips are the same size on new track creation regardless of if the setting is enabled or disabled

Hi Aiden! Hope you are doing great. First of all, thank you for posting! As part of the new clips, we have increased the default track heights for new tracks so that users can see the clip headers with the names and badges when importing a new clip.

The reasoning behind this is to surface all the essential clip information upon importing to the timeline without the tracks being too small. You can go back to the 24 px track height by clicking Option + left mouse click on the track header. You can also press Shift + Option, and all your tracks will have the 24 px track height.

In addition to this, we just released a new mode inside the wrench menu called "Show Clip Header on Small Tracks." This will get you the same clip behavior that you currently see in the stable build, where you can always see the clip header with the name and badges at all track heights.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

I could not repro this with v 24.4.0 beta.

Tip

try to use SHIFT+ +or_ to increase or decrease all track sizes.
