can't change text in caption window, bugs out every letter

When bugs like this occur in the Beta version, they are generally fixed quickly. But we can never know, because it depends on the cause and how the bug is related to other factors.

There is no new Beta this morning so far.

Generally, you can't roll back the Beta, so for now, edit in the Program Monitor.

I am using the latest build which is 24.1.0.26

It does work when I edit it in the Program Monitor.

I've always been using the captions windows to edit the text,

is there any fix for this now?

My subtitles have been having the same problem for three days and I don't know how to solve it. Needing help

What specific build are you using?

What happens if you edit in the Program Monitor?

I can confirm this is happening in 24.1.0.26 - typing any character or space accepts the edit and exits edit mode. This happens whether entering edit by double-clicking, pencil icon, or hitting Enter.

Not happening when editing in the Program Monitor.
