Clips cut off when using Transcript to edit

I’ve recorded a Loom video to show the issue. Essentially, when I’m editing using a transcript - every clip starts too late and often in the middle of a word. So I have to go into every clip and start it earlier so you can hear the full word.

    @fullermoe,

    Sorry for not getting back to you. The research I’m doing has gotten into the “weeds,” and it is related to pause detection/deletion and some other issues. But the timing of words/cuts is part of it.

    I just did a quick test, and I am not seeing the problem you are experiencing. I am still on Beta build 77. I have not yet updated to release 26.3.2.

    Ahh, ok. Yeah, it’s still doing it for me. Pretty frustrating! Would love to find a resolution for this. Thanks @Stan Jones

    @fullermoe,

    Thanks for continuing to respond. I’ll keep paying attention to this. I looked at any differences I could see. Speakers are not identified in the transcript. That should not matter. The transcript appear to be from a single clip, but the segments are relatively short, and with continuous timecode. Anything special about them? But normally, VFR etc phone clips should work fine.

    I’d create a test project with one short clip, and see if it happens there. If so, you can share the project and we can test.

    I was on my phone and did not get to watch the clip before posting. You’re using the Beta: what specific build? Some bug fixes were announced that apply to build 75, or so, but I’m not sure exactly which one. I am on build 77, and in the process of testing.

    @Stan Jones I’m using Premiere Pro Version 26.5.0 BETA StaticLib (Build 77) and macOS Tahoe Version 26.6 (25G70)
