Color Mode. Flicker while adjusting levels.

Using the latest release of Premiere Pro (Beta) 26.3.0.054 (2026-04-24).

Thankfully, making adjustments in Color Mode, the program no longer crashes.

Unfortunately, adjusting any level (except “Balance”), the Program Monitor and Hud Display flicker. The adjustments are not smooth whether moving vertically or horizontally. They work. It’s just that now they flicker and are slow to catch up to the mouse movement. While moving the mouse, the display bounces between the current level of the clip and the adjusted level. When mouse movement stops, you can see the new level in the Hud and Program Monitor. When clicking off of the adjustment, the Hud closes and the Program Monitor shows the new levels.

Again, the “Balance” adjustment is the only one that works smoothly.

ok, after some reinstall of Premiere - firstly Build 57 again - and system-restart afterwards, CC was finally showing Build 59 Update
(state Germany)

after a quick test, Color Panel seems to run smoothly again
Yeah!

Still, it would be nice, to jump to “build versions” manually as well. Could be a life saver.

Check your build, and update to build 58 if yours is earlier.

same flicker. the controls do not respond to my mouse movements. the first beta install worked flawlessly from everything I tried, but since the all the new updates came out I’ve noticed many things have been glitching, and the program has been crashing. I’m very pleased with the UI however. I can’t wait to get the bugs worked out.

I am happy to report that Adobe has fixed the “flickering” issue!

As of today’s update: v26.3.0.058 (2026-04-28), all is good again.

Thank you Adobe!

Excellent! Seemed a bit better with yesterday’s release but certainly fixed for me today, too. Loving Color Mode so far. Thanks Adobe indeed 🙏

i had to manually refresh ‘check for updates’ in CC app. Even after waiting another 24 hr, re-installing the app, etc, it kept putting me on the old Beta. Appears this is not automatically refreshing when a new release is being pushed out. Maybe something worth checking with that team as a number of people on here reporting that.

A fan boy of this new color interface writing here (the clip overview changes everything...)!
(macbook pro 4 Max)
Same, worked perfectly the version before the actual one. (crashes just happened, when many clips had to sync to changes at the same time - was fine to me temporarily. But now it’s not usable anymore. Total failure in workflow.

Beside the wish for a quick fix: Please Adobe, can you make it possible to go back to sub-versions as well while you fix the actual one? I would go back now: But you are forced to go back to the previous main-version where new Color panel was not intruduced yet. Sub-versions-switching could help Beta users to adapt quickly to new not working versions! (when previous sub-version was working)

Same thing happening for me too. Just updated to 26.3 today and the flicker is constant. Adobe is there anything we can do? Saw color mode at NAB and was excited to try it out.

Same problem. Macbook pro. Also when I hover over the highlights or shadows option in color and contrast I don’t see the values in the screen.

Hope this gets fixed soon, color mode is too much of a game changer to not use right now.

I agree.

Though I'm still trying to figure out how to adjust Midtones without affecting Shadows and Highlights. I don't mean to change the topic. You can email me directly: keulerb@msn.com.

@aCowdogProduction Please update to build 58 or later and would be helpful if you can share more details on the issue you are observing, On latest beta hovering over highlights and shadows should show the values on monitor.
