Copying audio levels to another clip

Is it me, or is it werid that when i want to copy the audio levels on to another clip, its does add it to the new clip, but does not adjust it. So i see it now got two audio volumes stacked up on eacht other, but i can't delete the first one. Ergo: i cant copy my volume settings on another clip
