Could add graphic

Couldn’t ******

It bounces back every time I try to add a shape on the programme, making it almost impossible to add graphic on it.

On way I figured out is to go to Properties, then add new layer, and choose Rectangle.

I don’t have a problem clicking the Rectangle tool from the tools panel and drawing a shape on the program monitor, it adds the rectangle and you can select an ellipse or polygon tool by long clicking the that same tool in the tools panel.
