Default transitions no longer working

Working in Version 24.2.0 (Build 28) on a Mac Studio running Ventura 13.6.1

Since updating to this version I get nothing when I use Shift + D to apply default audio transition to a selection of clips. Have tried restarting, changing my default transition length, applying to different types of clips or only one clip. 

Right-clicking on timeline and hitting Apply Default Transitions also no longer working.
