Effects Controls changes (scale/position) revert after clicking to timeline. Edits sometimes affect other clips; duplicated text inherits changes too. Happens in all projects; prefs reset didn't fix. Premiere Beta 26.5, Win11.

I change a setting or multiple settings in the Effects Controls panel (usually scale or position). Then I else, will click out of the Effects Controls panel back to the timeline to play it back or move on to something and the settings I have just changed will have reverted back to what they were originally.

Sometimes I make changes to one clip and it affects other clips. Also, I’ve copied text to keep formatting, changed the text and it affected the original text.

I’ve started Premiere pressing Shift, checked all boxes and cleared all data. Didn’t fix it. Also, same problem in every project that I have. I’ve tried opening from old Saved files and the problem always continues.

Premiere Beta v 26.5 However this problem has lasted through several updates, starting about a month ago. Problem did not begin at same time as an update. OS: Windows 11 Processor: 13th Gen Intel(R) Core(TM) i9-13950HX (2.20 GHz) RAM: 64.0 GB (63.7 GB usable)

This should be fixed not only in the current beta but as well as the Premiere 26.5.2 patch in the Creative Cloud app

Same thing happens to me! I’m on v26.5.1. It also happens with me with lumetri color effects either in an adjument layer, in the effect panel, or in lumetri color panel. It’ll reset randomly and my current workaround is to copy/paste since its a lot of numbers I’m changing.

This should be fixed not only in the current beta but as well as the Premiere 26.5.2 patch in the Creative Cloud app

I’m having this exact problem. I tried a suggested work around by using Transform effect and changing scale and position there but it still is reverting more often than not. Very frustrating. version 26.5.1 build 1

Having the same issue. The effects control adjustments aren’t sticking and its really frustrating!!

Looks like the scale/position bug has been fixed 27 Beta Build 49. Just tested it out myself where I used the arrow keys along with Shift to change values, change clips and the values maintained even after closing and reopening.

This has started happening to me as well since updating to the new version. If I want to change the scale or position, I have to do it 3 or more times for it to actually change.

If I want to change scale from 123% to 125%, the scale will change itself back to 123% after hitting play and pause. The only “solution” I’ve found: changing the scale to a larger number like 200% and then back to 125%, the scale will stay at 125%.
