Export freezes while "Preparing Content Credentials”

Exporting as usual and the first loading screen while exporting says “Preparing Content Credentials” and is stuck at 100%. I’ve tried toggling Content Credentials on and off. I’ve cleared my cache. I’ve tried moving on and out points, I’ve tried rebooting, I’ve tried exporting different codecs. 

 

If I export with Credentials on, it says "Applying Content Credentials” and also freezes at 100%. I’ve verified my identity and credentials. 

 

I’ve tried media encoder with things toggled on/off and multiple codecs. I’ve also tried other project files. 

 

I must export.

    I wanted to provide an update here from my end. I was able to meet with some members of the Adobe team (all of them are extremely nice and passionate about fixing this kind of stuff, btw) and we discovered/confirmed that what appears to be Content Credentials issues is actually just the UI getting stuck by other underlying issues. In my specific case, it was Izotope 10 Equalizer stopping the export process in this one particular project, for whatever reason.

    My solution was to start using the native Adobe equalizer (and other native Adobe audio effects) whenever possible. I know, ultimately, my solution is more of a temporary fix and I hope the Izotope EQ eventually becomes stable again in Premiere, but hopefully this gives people some options when troubleshooting your individual issues.

    On one hand, this isn’t entirely good news because it means it could really be anything on your particular system. On the other hand, I’m confident that solutions ARE out there, you just have to do a little digging. The upcoming Beta does NOT get stuck on Content Credentials so you may have a better idea of what’s holding up your export in future versions.

    Thanks for the update, even though it seems unique to you. I do not have any third party plug-ins. FYI, I have not had a Credentias problem since I updated to 26.3.2 - have you tried that? Exporting still hangs, randomly around 40-60% through. It seems to relate to including Firefly clips/ The same project with the Firefly clips disabled, works fine. Also, exporting through Media Encoder doesn’t have a problem. Odd, as I would think Premiere itlef would be using the same engine.

      Yeah, I totally agree that my situation is unique to me. My point was more so that many of these issues may actually have nothing to do with Content Credentials and is something else that’s getting hung up in the process. You’re probably right that it’s Firefly clips for you and it may be something else for others. I think when the beta is released as stable, and the UI moves past the Content Credentials messaging to whatever is actually going on, people might have a better idea of what their individual issues are.

      I guess the main point is just that Content Credentials seems to be getting a bad wrap here for all kinds of other issues people are having, just because the UI happens to hang there when something goes wrong. But I’m definitely not writing off anyone’s experiences or minimizing their issues (I spent 3 full days trying to export a 6.5 minute sequence 😭).

      It freezer at 100% and says "validating ingredients". I used dome AI elements via dynamiclink.  I don't know what to do anymore.

      ​@Electric_Solacee0b0  please make sure you have the latest beta releases of Premiere installed. We've been making fixes in this area recently, do you still see the “Preparing Content Credentials” dialog ?

      I have been experiencing similar problems on my Windows 11 PC.

      Been hit with Credentials freezing a couple of times (even though it is not enabled). Also, exports are freezing (a 50min documentary) Stops with about 17 minutes estimated remaining. MP4 files from a sony A7m4, and Go Pro. The render export worked if I used Media Encoder.

      Been having all sorts of problems with “waiting for application’, etc since this release. Got blamed on my 7 year old machine (i7, with Quadro 4000 GPU 64GB ram), to the extent that I shelled out $6K for a new one (ULTRA 7, 5070Ti GPU 64GB ram), only to get the same problems.

       



      What is going on Adobe? Time to change to another platform? I’ve been faithful to the product for 25 years, don’t make me change products now.

      ​@piprod Thanks for the report. Would it be possible to provide the Premiere Pro project (no source media needed)? Also, does the A7 source media include Content Credentials?

      According to Sony, the A7M4 does support Content Credentials, but the Adobe inspector cannot find any on this source footage.

      I’m using 26.3 (not beta) and I’m having this issue since I updated. Every other time when rendering it gets stuck preparing content credentials… So I have to cancel the export, and re do the process to see if it does it right next time which is time consuming…  It gets stuck once every 2 exports, like 50% of the time. Very annoying.

        1.  Project details — Roughly how large/complex is the project (number of clips, sequence length)? Does it contain any Generative AI–created content (Firefly, Generative Extend, etc.)? What export format/preset are you using (codec, container)? Ideally share the project with us (send me a DM if you want to share files)
        2. System/storage setup — Is the project media on local/internal disk, an external drive, or a network share (SAN/NAS)? What's the read/write speed of that storage? Also let us know your OS version and available disk space.

        Once we have these details we can try to reproduce it on our end.

          Can’t seem to see that beta version available for update. Unable to export anything in 26.5.05 and 26.3. Credentials are already turned off but it shows up and stays at 100% stopping the export like others have mentioned

          For those who have been stuck with this issue, can you confirm a few things?

          • Are you in Beta or the the stable released version? It sounds like stable from what I am reading
          • Please confirm the full version number, including the build number, you are running by looking at About Premiere from the application menu.
          • Some are saying to roll back to 25.1 which came out in December of 2024. The first implimentation of Content credentials was indeed released in 25.2 in April of 2026.
          • If you are running the stable version, try updating to the latest version, 26.3.  We have made several changes to content credentials since the first implimentation.
          • Try the latest beta to see if things are better.

          Thanks for providing additional info so we can get to the bottom of this.  And sorry for the frustration.

          I fixed it.
          1. First turn it off in prefferences
          2. Then restart premier
          3. then try exporting not the whole timeline but put and out point at the start and try exporting again.
          that fixed it for me and the i just put the outpoitn at the end and it worked

            1 month later, no fix updates… -.- Premiere freezes randomly. Click menu-File – Premere freezes. Click on the timeline – Premiere freezes. It’s not happening only on export page. It happens randomly everywhere while using the program. 
            Solution: go back to 25.1 version. The last version without “Content credentials” BS or/and prepair to migrate on Davinci Resolve.
