generate peaks too slow

Hello! 

the last week, generating peaks is taking too too long! 

i was trying to edit a simple podcast of 2 cameras and an audio file 1 hour and 3 min long in duration and it took almost 2 hours to generate the peaks! and another 1 hour to apply the Podcast Voice from Essential Sound. This should be a process of 10 minutes maximum! Same thing happened in Premiere pro 25.0 too. It wasted all of my day, and eventually I edited in Premiere Pro 24, which generated the peaks and apply the effect from Essential Sound in no time!
