I cannot edit text on the program monitor. I can only edit text in the "Text Panel"

I cannot edit text on the program monitor. I can only edit text in the "Text Panel". The edit text cursor no longer shows up on the program monitor. And yes I have the Type Tool selected.

      I do have the same problem in  v26.3.2.

      Thanks for reporting your experience with this. Note that this thread is regarding an older Beta version. I just tested on Win11 in Beta 27.0.0 Build 22 and in Release 26.3.2. I had no problem editing caption and graphics text in the text panel and in the Program Monitor.

      Is this happening all the time for you? Or like ​@MisterAdvent in the other thread only sometimes?

        Are you still  investigating this issue? I’m using v26.3.2 and have the same problem!

        Sorry you’re experiencing issues. This issue was fixed and released in 26.3. I see you’re experiencing issues in the release version, could you please create a new post in the Premiere forum with the following information:

        • Issue - A short description of the problem. 
        • Steps to reproduce - A numbered list of the exact steps needed to reproduce the problem.
        • Expected result - What should happen after completing the last step.
        • Actual result -  What actually occurred after the previous step
        • Premiere version and build - Available in Help > About on Win and Premiere > About Premiere on Mac
        • Operating system - Specify Windows or macOS, along with the version
        • Comparative information helps us understand more about when the issue occurs: 
          • Does it affect all projects or only some projects? 
          • Does it affect new projects?
          • When did the problem begin?
          • Does it happen in the beta version?
        • A screen recording of all of Premiere showing the steps to reproduce the issue
