Impossible to create subtitles for duplicated and edited sequence

Steps to reproduce:

I have a sequence set up with intro graphics, an interview section (subtitled) and outro graphics. I want to duplicate this sequence (so I keep all the intro/outro graphics etc), then delete and replace the middle interview section, and create new subtitles for that section - whic is impossible.

1. Duplicate "Sequence 1". Let's call the duplicate "Sequence 2". Close Sequence 1 so we're sure that we're not working on that one.

2. Open Sequence 2, and delete all the subtitles from the Subtitle track. Delete the Subtitle track completely.

3. In the Text > Captions panel, do "Create Captions from Transcription"

Result:

Subtitles are created in Sequence 2, but they are the subtitles from Sequence 1!

Expected:

Subtitles, in Sequence 2, are actually a reflection what's being said in Sequence 2.

You posted before I finished this! Yes, I think a retranscribe was in order.  But I have not played with this enough to know what your other workflow is (source transcription vs sequence etc).

In the Text Panel > Captions tab, I don't see an option for "Create Captions from Transcription." In the Text Panel -> Transcript tab, I see the original transcription, and Create Captions. What are you doing here?

I am in 23.2.0.2, and I get a big dialogue re whether to retranscribe etc.

A good example of sorting the new workflow.

To make matters worse, I thought I'd try this:

Delete "Sequence 1" and its assocated rushes

Do a preferences > clear cache

Save the project

Quit PPro

Delete all the media cache files and cache files from my hard drive

Relaunch PPro and open the project

Do another transcribe

SAME OLD SUBTITLES FROM THE OLD SEQUENCE THE NO LONGER EXISTS APPEAR!!

At last! I found a workaround: Click the three dots in the top-right of the Transcript panel and do "Re-transcribe seuqence"!!!

Oh, and it's impossible to delete the WRONG subtitles from the Captions panel.
