Issue with Batch Normalizing Audio Gain vs. Individual Clip Adjustment

Hello everyone,

I'm encountering a curious issue in Adobe Premiere Pro that I hope someone can help me with.

Problem: When I use the shortcut Ctrl+A to select all my clips in the timeline and then right-click to adjust the audio gain, specifically to normalize max peak to 0 dB, I've noticed that it lowers the volume of the clips.

However: If I adjust each clip individually by right-clicking and setting the normalize max peak to 0 dB, every single clip actually increases in volume.

Question: Has anyone else experienced this discrepancy between batch audio gain adjustments and individual clip adjustments? Any insights into why this might be happening and how to resolve it would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you in advance for your assistance!
