locked out: "Premiere Pro requires access to the following folder(s): Desktop"

I just updated the Beta version, and i'm getting this error, locking me out of the program. My disk permissions are set to "full disk access" for Premiere beta. In my sys settings, Premiere is greyed out but enabled for full access. There are no unique folders such as "desktop" in the drop down pane for selection. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the beta app via creative cloud and restarting. I'm at an impasse and I'm losing work days, please help!
