Lumetri crash on M1 Pro

First things first:

- 2021 14" MacBook Pro (18,3) - M1 Pro 10cpu/ 16gpu & 32gb ram

- macOS Monterey 12.6.1 (had the same issue on 12.6.0 as well)

- Beta version 23.2.0.8

The bug is that if I open a project and click on a click with Lumetri on it, or if I select a fresh clip and click on any setting in the Lumetri window, then Premiere hard crashes. The media in my timeline is Sony FS7 XAVC-S UHD 29.976fps, Shogun DNx 36 1080p 59.94fps, and a .jpg, but Premiere crashes the same way regardless of which file I try to add a Lumetri effect to. Footage is stored on a SanDisk Extreme portable SSD, but crashes the same way with footage stored on the internal ssd.

I tried opening Premiere with Rosetta, making new projects, clearing my cache, deleting and reinstalling, and none of those fixed the issue. Luckily, I eventually figured out that Beta 23.1 doesn't have the issue so I rolled back to that for now.

Also having issues with the full 23.0 release where it hard crashes the second it opens a project (both native and w/ Rosetta), but it seems like a lot of other people have already reported that so I'm not sure if I should make a post in the other forum.

Is anyone else having the same issue? Any suggestions for fixing it other than staying on 23.1? I'm reticent to jump to Ventura until it gets a couple more updates since 23.1 seems to be working, but if anyone knows for sure that updating fixed this issue for them then I might be willing to take the plunge.

Thanks!

If you have the opportunity to look towards the Colorista V.5 from MAXON, you will be glad when you see the right number of color wheels and how the devices work correctly. Then, you will forget about stuttering SCOPES and not the full working functionality of the Lumetri panel. I wrote to the developers in User Voice that the color correction tools themselves, or rather the effect on color grabs, do not work correctly. Try and compare in practice how they affect the location zones and are used clearly.
