"Missing footage" diagonal lines appear when trimming

If I ripple-delete or trim a clip in my sequence (eg. do a shift-delete), the diagonal "footage too short" lines appear on most of the subsequent clips, even though I have not changed the timing of those clips, eg:

I will Ripple-Delete this clip:

...which results in stripey clips, even thought their footage hasn't shifted - and they play back as they should:

Forcing a timeline-redraw by zooming in and out or changing the track height does not help, but closing and re-opening the sequce fixes the problem.

I'm on PPro 25.1.0 Beta build 6

Yep - I've updated to Build 8 today (11 Sep 2024), and the Danger Bars issue is still there.

Do you perhaps have multiple source files, with the same name?

Danger bars are easy to create, if the media cached for one instance of "000000.mts" is used, for another (shorter) instance of "000000.mts"...

It is creating these lines without changing the size of the video.

They should only ever appear when the source clip has become shorter than it was when it was originally inserted into the edit, and that original footage no longer exists, eg. if you have a linked AE comp which was 10secs long, and you reduce its length in AE to 5 secs, or if you've got a nested sequence and you reduce the length of that sequence.

Those lines (colloquially known as "danger bars") are PPro saying "Even though the project item representing this track item says there should be media from the project item at this time, there actually is no media available from the project item, at this time."

The same thing has happened here. I couldn't understand what these "lines" were about.
