Moving large clips on the timeline skips and freezes

Steps to reproduce:
    1. Click and drag 4-5 minute clip containing linked audio to relocate on the timeline

2. The clip will only go so far before freezing in place, causing you to have to release it, then move it again.
 
Result: Multiple attempts to relocate clips to their proper positioning on the timeline
Expected: The clips should move freely on the timeline when clicked and dragged
