My collection of bugs
Here are a few bugs for Beta version as well as universal bugs for all versions.
Beta version bugs:
- The Object Mask Tool is great. But the removal of free shape draw mask tool is a mistake. That’s why I still have to use non beta version sometimes. If I want to draw a specific shape and use if further as a mask. On Beta - that is impossible. What? The Object Mask Tool highlights a suggested shape. That is a significant downgrade if I want a strict shape easily.
- Stability issues. Once in a while I encounter a situation where clicking on something closes down the app. I have RTX 4090 24GB, 64GB RAM, i9 3.2GHz, 12TB, win11. Is my device too old… already?
Bugs that no one cares about in ALL versions:
- This is surprising. I just am unable to believe that this is never noticed. It has been a bug a year ago. It is a bug now. and probably will remain a bug in the future. It’s for those who enjoy punishing themselves:
Text - Captions. There is a problem when editing captions.
As you know, Enter button does not close the editing. That’s what Esc button is for.
Once the typing is finished, there is a requirement to wait at least 1 second and then click Escape button to close down the editing.
If Esc button is pushed sooner, then that cancels the whole input.
For example:
“TextA” should be replaced with “This is Text B”.
After clicking “B” button one would normally click “Esc”.
If clicked within one second, then “TextA” shows up, and the previously input “This is Text B” disappears.
I’m not fast in all the matters, but editing poorly translated captions is not what I enjoy to its fullest. I effin hate it. If the speaker doesn’t speak perfect American accent, then the AI will struggle. No settings properly help.
so I type fast and click Esc fast. and in 8/10 cases I have to type it all over again because of this bug. Fix this damn bug!
That 1 second delay is torturous!!!
Regarding the transcript:
indeed, it sucks. Train AI on real people, not the hired speakers who speak for a living and can talk textbook lingo after being woken up in the middle of the night.
Something is better than nothing. So I appreciate the capability to transcribe, especially when it’s done right. But when it’s done right - that is not remembered. It is remembered when there is a flaw, a problem, a bug. That is what’s memorable
I am using V 26.0.0 Beta. Build 50.
Reasoning: the last time I upgraded there were compatibility issues that resulted in 2 hours lost of the workflow. Non Beta and Beta projects were no longer compatible with the post-upgrade versions. Possibly a small oversight, but it took my trust away, and you aren’t getting it back.
Realistically, I’ll most likely see any replies/comments after 4 months (unless I encounter another bug that I’ll want to post about).
