Object mask tool not working. mask disappears after first frame

I click on a person I want to mask using the object mask tool. It highlights the person correctly. I go to trackking and click the correct arrows. As soon as I do that, the mask goes away but it continues tracking. The mask its still there at the original position when I created it but doesnt follow at all.

When I drop it to Opacity, the mask is only there for the 1st frame then the screen goes black.

with object mask tool you dont need to be in frame mode. it draws the mask itself right?

As you will be able to see in my screen recording, when I try to use the object mask tool the mask disappears when I track it. It is there on the frame of video when I clicked on it originally but it doesnt track with the movement for the expected result.

It used to work beautifully on my macbook a while ago and now it doesnt. Nothing has change other than I updated my IOS software to Tahoe.

I have this issue on the latest verison on premiere pro beta (26)vand the version right before as well (25.6). I installed the previous verision and the problem still happens.
