P: If Default Media Scaling set "Fit to frame" can not add clips to new sequence in Beta v25.1.0.17

UPDATE 9-30-24:  This has been fixed in build 31 or later.  Please update your app!

So while GPU acceleration works again I'm now having a weird issue that I cannot add new audio clips to the timeline anymore.

Issue:

On drag/drop all I get is the empty outline of the clip, which stays when I release left mouse button. After that i can neither move or select it. Tried everything, but it never adds the clip to the timeline.

What is broken:

- Drag/Drop works neither from a project bin nor the source window nor the Windows Explorer.

- Using Insert/Overwrite from the Source Window has no effect.

- When dragging an Audio file to the "New Sequence" button it creates an empty sequence.

- Dragging video files works only if there's no audio track attached

More information:

Yes, the source patching is correctly set. I can also drag/drop new video files (without audio). I can also drag around existing audio clips, duplicate them, replace their contents from source, etc.

Anyone else? I think it was working in the version before the CUDA bug got introduced, but can't be 100% sure.

Thank you to whoever my post... only just realised there's a separate forum for the beta versions
Additionally I discovered a temp fix on here by backdating to version 25.0 (though now every import is duplicated 🤔 🤔)

Same issue here. I installed the previous version and it now works.

Hello,

I'm at a loss here. Using Premiere Pro Beta (have been using it for a while) but it seems I am unable to drag clips to the timeline anymore.

I'll drag them over and it will appear as if it is there but in reality it isn't.

It's difficult to explain properly so have attached a clip to show what I mean.

It works properly on the non beta version

Please could someone help me out here?

Hey guys! I had the same problem yesterday, which was maddening.

Good news is- the solution is fairly simple, although a temp fix until there's a patch for 25.1...open Creative Cloud, next to Premiere Pro Beta click the three dots/cue the prompt that allows you to "install other versions" and run 25.0....I've been editing non-stop for the last 10 hours without an issue- but dang, this zesty issue about gave me a nosebleed.

Hope that solves it for everyone else as well(?).

Hi All,

This is what I see currently on both Windows & Mac with every audio file https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dyDrnfX6_UI . Working fine in every case.
Can you try resetting app prefereces (press shift while launching Premiere or go to General prefereces/settings -> reset ) and check it again?

Thanks,
Mayjain
