P: Text tool broken in Beta 25.1.0 Build 6 and 7

Build 7 is now up. When I update, I start with Shift+open PR, and reset preferences and cache. And I create a new project.

The text tool is not working: Click and type or Click+drag and type. The keystrokes execute as shortcuts. The Properties panel does not adjust to be the text item. The history panel shows no text creation - just whatever shortcut (e.g. typing I adds an in-point in the sequence).

Clicking the Text tool or hitting T does select the text tool, and it shows in the Program monitor. Click+drag does create a bounding box. Typing anything immediately executes a shortcut.

Thank you for the quick fix! Fixed in Beta 25.1.0 Build 8.

I only tested by selecting the Text tool and typing in the Program Monitor.

The previous version was crashing the app every time I tried using the shape tool. This one is an improvement, since it's not crashing, but I can't create any shapes or create texts on the timeline.

Hi @Joaquin_gtm - Please make sure you are on build 8 or later. There has been some improvements over build 7. Let us know if you are still having issues.

Trying to create new graphic elements, hitting Command T, going through the menu to create a new text element, no response. Have to duplicate existing text items on the timeline.
