Playhead keeps jumping back to a specific time.

Hi,

I'm having an issue where my playhead jumps to a strange part of my sequence.

- In Sequence A, I move the playhead to some point on the timeline

- Go to another tab for Sequence B, or the source window, or the project window

- Go back to Sequence A, and the playhead jumps to 3:22.

I've had this kind of glitch or error happen a few times before, but never was able to replicate it.

- I've updated software and I'm sure it's happend across different versions.

- I've used different workspaces on different systems

- I've restarted and re-installed

- The "return playhead to start after playback" is turned OFF (and most of the time I wasn't even playing)

- (none of these because of this glitch, because it wasn't that persistent, but I've done all of that for other reasons and still occasionally see this happen)

Attached is a screen recording of it happening.

Anyone else have this issue?

Anyone know any fixes for it?

Premeire 24.3.0

Mac Studio M2, 64gb Ram, plenty of hard drive space, updated OS.

Thanks!

It's possible this was happening when you had an active search in the Text panel. We've just put a fix in the most recent build of Premiere Pro (Beta) to prevent this in the future.

Hi, sorry I don't have an answer for it. I think it's stopped doing this but I'm not sure if it's from updating the version of premiere or if I changed something that fixed it and I didn't realize it.

Experiencing the same.  Did you ever figure this out?
