Preferences are not removed when uninstalling Premiere Pro

I uninstalled the beta version and noticed that i get the question if i want to remove or keep the Preferences. I choosed to remove them to see if it works. It did not, the Preferences and everything else is still there.

This has been true for Premiere Pro for years, iow you get the question when uninstalling, but they are left there anyway and your choice has been ignored.

Why does it still happen after all those years? Why do we even get the question, i mean it does not work after all?
