Premiere Pro Beta 24.4 - CEP Sequence.exportAsMediaDirect issue

Hello,

I found an issue on the CEP of PPRO. Basically, exporting media in not possible anymore.

The function Sequence.exportAsMediaDirect will always return "Error: OutputFilePath is in a folder that doesn't exist!"

The folder it is trying to export to do exist, it's the MacOs temp folder located here on my computer : "/var/folders/nn/bh3chvf16378s17zn9gjk8d00000gn/T/".

The exact same code works on the current PPRO stable version. Also manually exporting the sequence, using the same .epr file, to the same folder works.

Confirmed, exportAsMediaDirect() is functioning correctly in 25.2.

the issue seems to be the filenaming convention. On windows, use \\ and not /

br.

Its nearly a year ago this bug was reported. Any news on when this is fixed?

Good catch!

It fails, even if you output to non-temporary folders.

It seems as though that in 24.4 Premiere Beta exportAsMediaDirect is broken. Works correctly in 24.3 Beta and before. Regardless of input parameters/file types it won't work. No file is created. Here's some sample code on Mac, obviously slashes for paths would be different if testing on Windows:

var sequence = app.project.activeSequence;
sequence.exportAsMediaDirect("//Users//XXXXXX//Desktop//ExportFile.wav", "//Users//XXXXXX//Desktop//WAV preset.epr", 0);

This would break my extensions as well as I'm sure many other 3rd party developers. Let me know if you need anything else/figure out what's going on
