Premiere Pro Beta running extremely slow. Every click is lagging.

Last two or three versions of premiere pro beta have run a bit slow but the latest version (v.25.0.0.025) is completely unusable. I'm running an M1 Max Macbook Pro with 32gb of RAM and the latest OS 14.6.1.

I can't open the project in the regular premiere pro either.

    Literally every action takes a while to process. Can't play back fluidly anymore or even move the mouse much. Every function is slow and now the latest update cause the whole thing to crash everytime the project opens. I cleared the app settings on start up which allows projects to load but as soon as I go to change windows involing colour grading (so even all panels if lumetri is open) it crashes.

      Stan's right about the project format...

      Grant, what's an action that worked fine three version ago, but now is impossibly slow?

      The Beta 25.x is a newer project file version than release 24.x, so projects created in/converted to the Beta cannot be opened in 24.
